Museum of Arts and Design
Allied Works Architecture's reinvention of Edward Durrell Stone's 2 Columbus Circle, creates a new home for the Museum of Arts and Design that more than doubled the new owner's gallery space. With more room for rotating exhibits, the museum is also home to a space-making permanent display: a slender new staircase extending from the cellar level to the second floor.
