Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center

Construction of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center, one of the tallest research facilities in the world, was an experiment in itself. The design of architects at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill and Zimmer Gunsul Frasca meets the rigorous requirements of the laboratories and also cantilevers 13 levels over an existing building that will be demolished in phase two of construction. Whitestone Bridge Redecking

The extra lanes added on to the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge in its 60-plus years of use led to a weight problem and undue strain on the aging structure’s suspension cables.
